Our Mission
OUR PURPOSE AND WHAT WE BELIEVE
Westwood’s Preschool is a faith-based preschool that is part of Westwood Community Church’s efforts to serve both our congregation and our community.
Our purpose is to provide opportunities for children to grow physically, relationally, cognitively, and spiritually through our caring staff and well-designed programs. We seek to nurture children’s experience of God’s love and grace by teaching and modeling Christian values.
We believe:
- Every child is a gift from God.
- Play is the primary vehicle for learning.
- Learning is an interactive process.
- In encouraging a spirit of co-operation, not competition.
- Each day is a treasure as it brings us closer together and closer to God.
Our Staff
The staff at Westwood Preschool meet and exceed education and experience qualifications set by the Department of Human Services and NAEYC Accreditation standards. All staff are members of Westwood Community Church, sharing a vision for growing children and families in faith and a commitment to designing creative curriculum that supports quality early childhood education.
